the lighthousegirl stands nowhere, she wonders and wanders and sometimes she sits, knees up to her chin, her eyes searching for that sailor at the horizon
special for you my dear :
The young sailor at sea was ordered to climb a mast to adjust a sail during a violent storm. He got halfway up, looked down, got dizzy and sick. An old sailor on deck shouted up to him Look up, son, look up. Young sailor looked up, regained his composure, and completed his mission. Moral: Look ahead, not back.”
thank you :-) but I find it strange you should perceive this as if she was looking back instead of ahead ... isn't looking at the horizon, looking forward? Isn't wondering and wandering not the opposite of standing still?
And anyway, sometimes one should take the time to stand still, lay back and look back and make a balance. Question...
But of course, not in the middle of a violent storm ...
